"Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy.  Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

Love never fails.

Sermon on May 31, 2009 (from Pastor Wyatt)

Text: I Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22

Expect great things from God by attempting to do great things for Him.

Characteristics that made God say David was "a man after God's own heart:

1.  Declaring God's Praise: David wrote numerous psalms of praise, thanks-giving, worship, confession of sin.  Psalm 103 "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me Bless His Holy Name."

2.  Depended on God's Provision: David knew that God was the supplier of all his needs.

3.  Desire for God's Presence: David sought after God's presence. He had a personal relationship and communed with God daily. We need to do the same with a prayer life, read God's Word, Seek God's will for our life.

4.  Display of God's Power:  With God's help David slew a giant, was King, built a tabernacle.  For those who deligently seek Him, Serve Him faithfully, God will display His Power.
